2020 Chamber Online Silent Auction Runs Through 12/22

Support Chamber programs that promote local business, develop community leaders and host educational workshops

While the Chamber Annual Dinner is unfortunately not possible in 2020, we still wanted to give our members the opportunity to promote their companies, support local business and give you some last minute gift opportunities!

The Annual Dearborn County Chamber Auction will run online from Tuesday, December 15th to Tuesday, December 22nd (it will end at midnight). To view and bid on the items visit this link: https://event.gives/chamber20

It has been an interesting year to say the least and on behalf of businesses throughout Southeast Indiana, we sincerely appreciate your support. You can continue to support our mission of promoting and growing the Dearborn County economy by bidding on the great items donated by our members. The Chamber will continue to focus on helping our businesses struggling through the pandemic while focusing on growth opportunities throughout the region. The Chamber Foundation revolving loan fund still has loanable funds available for businesses in need and our Young Professionals continue to host online and in person, socially distanced events. Our focus in 2021 will be to come out stronger than ever and we are thrilled to have your support.

We would like to thank all of our members who donated items to the auction and all of you who support the Chamber and Dearborn County in any way. So head over to https://event.gives/chamber20 to bid early and bid often!

Dearborn County Chamber Of Commerce Announces Event Cancellations

(Dearborn Co., Ind.) – In light of recent events and out of an abundance of caution, the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce will be cancelling all of our events through April 30th. We have not made this decision lightly and will do out best to reschedule the Human Resources Roundtable, Business After Hours, and the new Grow Your Friendships Luncheon presented by Friendship State Bank. We are exploring options for offering the March and April Lunch and Learns presented by Dearborn Savings Bank as online webinars and will have more information on those shortly. The start of Leadership Dearborn 2020 has been postponed. As we add these events back to the calendar we will be sure to let everyone know. As of now, the next Chamber event will be the golf outing taking place in May.

We are cancelling events of all sizes because at this time the best way to combat COVID-19 is to limit the spread. While we are proud of everything we do at the Chamber, none of our events are worth risking your health or worth placing additional burdens on our healthcare providers as a result of unnecessary contact that we facilitated. We hope everyone will understand and we can’t wait to get back to business as usual in May.

The next few weeks will be a unique time for us as a community. It will likely be particularly difficult for our small business owners and their employees, who rely on all of us to participate in local commerce. If you have opportunities to buy local, strongly consider it. Additionally, once we’re back to business as usual make a concerted effort to spend your dollars in Dearborn County. Shop here, eat here, and tip well. While there is likely to be some disruption in all of our lives over the coming weeks if we come together we can minimize the impact and help each other through a once in a lifetime challenge.
