Dearborn County Chamber Of Commerce Announces Event Cancellations

(Dearborn Co., Ind.) – In light of recent events and out of an abundance of caution, the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce will be cancelling all of our events through April 30th. We have not made this decision lightly and will do out best to reschedule the Human Resources Roundtable, Business After Hours, and the new Grow Your Friendships Luncheon presented by Friendship State Bank. We are exploring options for offering the March and April Lunch and Learns presented by Dearborn Savings Bank as online webinars and will have more information on those shortly. The start of Leadership Dearborn 2020 has been postponed. As we add these events back to the calendar we will be sure to let everyone know. As of now, the next Chamber event will be the golf outing taking place in May.

We are cancelling events of all sizes because at this time the best way to combat COVID-19 is to limit the spread. While we are proud of everything we do at the Chamber, none of our events are worth risking your health or worth placing additional burdens on our healthcare providers as a result of unnecessary contact that we facilitated. We hope everyone will understand and we can’t wait to get back to business as usual in May.

The next few weeks will be a unique time for us as a community. It will likely be particularly difficult for our small business owners and their employees, who rely on all of us to participate in local commerce. If you have opportunities to buy local, strongly consider it. Additionally, once we’re back to business as usual make a concerted effort to spend your dollars in Dearborn County. Shop here, eat here, and tip well. While there is likely to be some disruption in all of our lives over the coming weeks if we come together we can minimize the impact and help each other through a once in a lifetime challenge.
