The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1987 when the Lawrenceburg/Greendale Chamber and the Aurora Chamber merged. Membership is open to any business, organization or individual who supports its objective to advance the business, economic, cultural and civic welfare of Dearborn County, and to encourage retention and expansion of existing businesses. The chamber also assists new firms seeking to locate in the county, and provides information concerning the county.
Many of these business assistance programs are provided through cooperative efforts between the Chamber and other organizations. The Chamber accomplishes much of its work through the efforts of volunteers and members who serve on several standing committees which include the governmental affairs committee, economic growth committee, membership committee, networking team, workforce development committee, and the events advisory committee.
The Chamber is affiliated with many regional organizations including the Greater Cincinnati Partnership, Tri-State Chamber Collaborative (a cooperative organization of area chambers) and the Southeastern Indiana Chamber Collaborative.
